Anyone been to the Millennium Resort Patong Phuket and would like to give his review? Looking forward to read about your experiences with the Millennium Resort Patong.

Based on my internet research this hotel seems to be getting very good reviews. I wonder if anyone of you could shed some light on this with some personal accounts from the Milennium Resort Phuket.

In at least one of the notable travel guide, Millennium Resort in Patong received great reviews and 92% of those who have been there recommended it to other tourists, family and friends.  Just to lay out the statistics, there are 326 who made their reviews and experiences during their stay at the Millennium Resort.  Out of the 326, there were 135 who rated it as excellent, 151 who believe that it had very good service, facilities, staff and value for money.  Only 25 answered average, 5 for poor and 10 for terrible.

Majority of those who have stayed at the Millennium Resort in Patong were satisfied with the service, accommodation and value for money.  Basically, most of them were saying in their reviews that the resort have an excellent location with its proximity to everything (the beach, shopping center, restaurants, nightlife, bars, and more).  The rooms are also said to have clean bathrooms, bed sheets, floors which is one important factor in booking a room.  Apart from this, customers also enjoyed the different facilities that the resort offers.  Staffs were also very polite, courteous and helpful to tourists (after all Thailand is the land of smiles).  As a final note in their reviews, they reiterated that they would definitely come back in the resort.

My wife and I actually spend a week there last year as we won a prize from our local newspaper. One of the things which I liked most about the Millennium Resort Patong is the fact that is it located right in the center of Patong beach and and is attached to the Patong Jungceylon shopping mall which is the island's premier shopping destination. This makes the Millennium Resort in Patong Beach the ideal resort for families as families can find plenty of places to eat and things to do at the Jungceylon shopping center.

The Millennium Resort in Patong is one of the only 5 star resorts in Patong Beach and it is a relatively new property which only was constructed a few years ago. The rooms and suites of the Patong Millennium Resort are superb and I certainly believe that everyone staying at this resort in Patong beach is more than pleased with the accommodation.

General Information

The Millennium Resort Patong is a five-star resort that is located right at the heart of Phuket’s most vibrant and popular area. The hotel have two separate wings - the Beachside and the Lakeside which features a total 400 rooms, each furnished with rustic charm.

Positive Aspects

The service from the staff is excellent and they would always greet us with a smile, especially the front desk staffs that are so sweet and accommodating. They are always willing to answer your questions even if it’s not related on the hotel. They even speak English very well and they’re always around whenever you need them. The best thing about the hotel is the location, for it is near the Jungceylon Mall, and has easy access to BangLa Road and Patong Beach. Night life and restaurants is just about 5-10 min walk. The beach is about 10 minutes of walking and if you don’t want to walk, they will be able to provide you with a free shuttle going to the Patong Beach, though you have to book a day earlier.

The rooms are perfect, and their service was good. The rooms are of good size and they’re clean. The beds are comfortable and most rooms had a sofa as well as some tables. Their pool is quite big and most guests would prefer to go sun bathing instead of swimming, so the pool hardly gets crowded at all. They have free sun beds on the pool and their pool bar is great too.

The breakfast spread was very tasty, especially their chocolate croissants. The restaurant for the breakfast has a modern feel and it’s really airy and the sitting was fabulous. The food was good.

Negative Aspects

The hotel lacks maintenance because the floors on some hotel rooms have cracks and some parts of the hotel walls had cracks as well. The rooms do not even have a sink or a basin in the toilet, so you will be forced to use the sink to wash your face, brush your teeth and make coffee at the same sink, and it’s just not hygienic.

The staffs are noisy sometimes, especially early in the morning when guests are still sleeping. Noise from housekeeping staffs that are going up and down the corridors early in the morning is horrible and you can hear mobile phones ringing and some managers calling out to some staffs. It was just so inconsiderate, knowing that the hotel guests are still asleep. Worst, the hotel is a bit pricey as compared to some 5-star hotels in Phuket.

Summary

Millennium Resort Patong is the best place to stay at if you’re concerned about being near the mall and other night spots in Phuket. There is no doubt that their location is the best. The hotel is also number one when it comes to the quality of service they provided, but the noise of their staff is definitely not acceptable. You may also stay on this hotel if you don’t mind spending big amount of money since it’s a bit expensive. Be reminded though that the hotel is not really a resort, it just has a pool in it. So you might as well just stay on a resort hotel in Phuket, if you’re going to spend a great deal of money.
