We stayed there for a night in May 2011. As we were preparing to depart we pulled the bedcovers down to make it easier for the cleanup crew, my wife found a single bug walking across the sheet. From all the publicity at the time, we both knew it was a bedbug. We called the front desk, which sent a lady to look at the bug. She promised they would spray the room. My wife and I knew that would not do a thing to prevent an outbreak, but we didn't argue. I got the car & swung around to the lobby to pick up my wife who had been settling our account. When we drove off, she told me the motel had comped our room. That was a nice but unnecessary gesture. I commented that if we had known we would have gotten a free room, we would have saved the bug and used it at a more expensive hotel on our trip! Two more weeks of traveling and no more bedbugs seen. None at our home in Texas either. Thank goodness!
